On Friday, April 1, (or thereabouts) Tiger Queenie Princess Mimi Josefina turns 18 years old. Her feistiness has calmed down, but she’s still pretty agile. She lies on the back of the recliner, for instance.
The other day we had a little pearl-draped photoshoot for the Queenie Princess. Here is our resident royalty on her throne.
And here she is looking so adorable on the fake fur on the piano.The fur that matches her green eyes.
And, finally, here she is at rest after a grueling modeling shoot.

Hah, she had a big bow on her head for birthday a few years ago, but when she was younger she didn’t like getting dressed up. Now she’s resigned to it ;).

She does! Although she is one of those cats who prefers not to look straight at the camera. So getting her face on in the middle pic was quite the accomplishment. She’s become more amenable to mom’s fun and games in her old age.

We used to have a princess cat. Then she became the Crotchety Old Lady Princess Cat.
Hahaha, luckily for us, Tigeez the Queenie girl (yes we have all kinds of names for her) is more mellow than when she was younger.

Aw, that is so sweet. I will tell her right away . . . ok, she just read it herself as she’s sitting on my lap now. Even if I’m in a different room if I sit or lie down she is there, climbing on me. Sometimes it puts Perry’s nose out of joint as he thinks he is the Cute Cat in the house (he is).

Hehe, I can’t believe it either. Many many years ago, daughter attempted to put a Hanukkah sweater on her, and she freaked out. She absolutely hated D for years afterward. This kitty holds a grudge! Now they are friends. She’s really mellowed.
Well, by her age she’d better be mellow!

Luanne, I LOVE these photos of your resident Queen – how lucky you are to have had her these years! The pearls are a definite perfect touch! She is beautiful. Celebrate.
We are so lucky. She now has a skin growth that we don’t know about–is it benign or not? Our vet froze it off and will freeze again in two weeks because she’s really too old for surgery. Cats do not handle anesthesia all that well.
I just admire the fact that you can get her to the vet!
