I’ve been posting on this blog for almost ten years, generally once a week and usually on Monday mornings. Unfortunately, Monday mornings are not very good for me any more because Mondays and Tuesdays are so busy. I am thinking about switching posting days to Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, and I wonder what you think about that. I would love for you to complete this poll. (Notice that I am not giving you the “I don’t give a rat’s behind” option).
Do you see a poll above here? It’s supposed to be here but I am not seeing it! Thanks for letting me know. If you want to give me more information, feel free to leave a comment below. If you have any insights on the best times to post, I’d love to hear so that I can put that information into my decision making hat.
Poetic Book Tours is going to be starting a blog tour for Rooted and Winged beginning on September 15: READ ABOUT IT HERE.
Make it a wonderful week.

I will read and follow regardless so make it any day that strikes your fancy!
Take care…
Woot! we will see what day I choose and if I stick to it haha.
I do not have a consistent schedule–except that I post my musings on Monday mornings–so it doesn’t matter to me. I will still read your posts, Luanne. 💙
Thanks, Merril! I have always loved Monday morning for blogging. I wish I wasn’t so busy on Mondays :(.
We will find you whenever, Luanne!
Hi, I don’t have any research to support my theory, but I like mid-week for posting. I think on Mondays working people are overwhelmed by their emails and more likely to skip the blog. On Friday, they’re more checked out. . . though I’ve noticed some people catch up on WordSisters over the weekend. I also suggest posting around 11-ish. Lots of people check their email and social media at lunch. Good luck!
Those are some good thoughts. That sounds right about days of the week. By 11-ish do you mean eastern time? Pacific time? GMT? I usually post at 5:15 Pacific time so 8:15 EST. I get a flurry of readers right off the bat. then not much for a couple of hours. Hmm.
I agree, Ellen. I’m guilty of skipping blogs on Monday due to 100’s of emails at the day job.
I will read posts on whatever day you choose, and if you change it up at any time, I will read it then! 🙂
Thank you, Linda! Yay!!!!!!!!
🙂 🙂 🙂
I really don’t give a rat’s behind Sind I read your stuff whenever it is published. I threw Wednesday into the mix cause it was away from Monday, Tuesday and before the rush on Friday.
One vote for no rat’s behind! Thank you, John! Wednesday does sound good to me!
😁
Hi, Luanne~
Like you, I’ve been blogging for nearly a decade. I choose Mondays because of #MondayBlogs, which sends ones posts to many more readers. Like other commenters, I will read your posts whenever they appear. I like Mondays because I have the weekend to prepare for publishing.
My two cents’ worth!
I kept meaning to do the #MondayBlogs thing, but never could remember. But that does make sense! Also, I do like to have Sunday to think about a post, too. But I am overwhelmed lately on Mondays and to some extent Tuesdays. Or maybe just all the time . . . . Thanks, Elaline.
I voted for Wednesday but I’m in the rat’s ass group. I’m retired so days of the week don’t mean much to me although at one point WP told me that Sunday mornings were my popular times.
Vote two for no rat’s behind. Sunday mornings! How interesting that is. I wouldn’t have thought of doing Sundays. Sometimes Sundays would be the best (laziest) day for me, but sometimes it would be super hard. Hmm. So your blog readers tend to be reading you on non-work days or are retired? Whatcha think?
Maybe retired? Maybe off from work? You can write it anytime and schedule it to release when you think it works best.
The rat’s ass moniker goes for me too, Lol! Any of those days is fine, I’m usually one of your belated readers anyway. To my shame. xoxox
3rd vote for No Rat’s Behind. Yes, you read late, but I appreciate you any time you read!!!!!!!!!
😃😜!!<3
Thursday
Noted!!!!!
I’m in the “Rat’s ass” contingent! But Wednesday seems like a nice mid-week slot. 😊
I’ll read your posts regardless of when you post them. If I were to have a preference, I would say not on the weekend.
Any day is fine for me. It comes through as an email and I choose when I have time to read.
I did not see the survey. It doesn’t matter to me what day you post. I’ve tended to skip Sunday reading. Sometimes I just have to take a break. I’d say Wednesday or Thursday tend to be a little less clogged on my reader feed.
I honestly don’t think it matters. Those who want to read your blog will read it whenever you publish. And here I am reading it a day later than you published because I had no time yesterday! I used to publish on random days whenever I had a post ready. Then I started posting Tuesdays and Fridays. I never saw a difference in readership on one day or the other. Now I am only posting once a week on Tuesdays. If people want to read your blog, they will read it whenever you post!
Hey! My comment went through! Hallelujah!
I think any day is fine but I am thinking of mid-week posting being best and I am thinking of creating a similar posting schedule myself! I’d vote Thursday but either of those options works fine for me 🙂
Since I’m pretty unpredictable as to when I even read blog posts, any day you pick to blog is fine with me 😉 You might want to keep in mind that you can write your posts anytime you want and then schedule them for a certain day. I’m not sure if your question about when to post has to do with the writing itself or being available to respond to comments. In either case, I wouldn’t worry about it. I know some “expert” bloggers say that writers should set a blogging schedule and stick to it. To that, I say “Phooey.”
