Beautiful new review of Scrap: Salvaging a Family was publishing by Smokelong Quarterly and written by D.E. Hardy, the founder of the journal Claudine. She calls it “What Can I Do with the Anger He Leaves Behind?”
She has some real gems in her review. One is that she calls flash the scrappiest of literary genres. I LOVE that. Flash is so scrappy! She also makes a case for a genre called nonfiction-fiction based on the stories that I have to imagine about my father’s life and my grandmother’s life.
