A Hugely Talented Friend

If you’re a blogger you might know Marie at 1 Write Way (this recent blog post of hers was a reposting of her fantabderful (yup, needed a portmanteau word) review of my poetry book Doll God) who has been blogging for a long time. You will know that she is a woman of many talents. Most recently she has been putting her skills into some very serious knitting.

Marie and I go way back. In fact, she was a beta reader for Scrap and wins the award for reading the most versions. She helped me figure out how to go about a very very intro level knitting project. I could go on, but I popped on here to share with you Marie’s knitting talent.

Yesterday I received a package in the mail. It was in a plastic UPS type bag and inside that was a brown bag and inside that was a beautiful package wrapped in different colored tissues with a net bow. Just lovely. Then such a sweet card that I’ll keep it forever.

What was inside the package? This absolutely gorgeous wrap!!!! Have you ever seen anything so beautiful? I have not. Look at the intricate pattern! And I love the colors. Some of my favorites mixed together and changing from the ends to the middle. It’s so soft and generously long.

I spent some time prancing around the house in the wrap haha. Omigoshes flying through the air.

Since I hate posting pix of myself I was going to post a pic of the wrap just lying there, but I soon realized it didn’t do it justice. It needs an appreciative person inside it, so here I am modeling this gorgeousness!!!!

Thank you sooooooooo much, Marie, for your beautiful gift and your friendship and your cats 🙂 and your essence.

  1. It’s gorgeous! Marie is a wonderful, talented person. She sent my husband a pair of socks she made. They are also beautiful, and he said very comfortable, too. 😊

  2. Beautiful colors that suit you so well! A wonderful gift!
