Hahaha! Hey, I just read your Norfolk, VA story!!! Excellent!!!! I will be reading the other one, too, but haven’t gotten there yet. I haven’t read many short stories lately although it was half my MFA subject matter (fiction: short stories). Your story really reminded me how much I love the genre. I love the way you just lay it there at the end, too. The heart-breaking inside of the average person’s daily life IMO.
Thanks. I have a whole series of these stories from the Unremittingly Depressing School of Writing. I’m planning on compiling them into a “novel in stories.” However, I have no idea how to market it.
Lovely review of your book, Luanne!
Yes, so lovely!!!!
On my way to read the review! (I have a short story anthology from my college days that looks like your Plath book.)

I’m so glad you enjoyed “Norfolk, Virginia,” Luanne (although perhaps “enjoyed” isn’t the right word).
I know what you mean about enjoyed, and yet I did enjoy it haha. Very thought-provoking story and such a smart characterization.

I love Sylvia Plath, so will surely love your work. Heading over to read now <3
Thank you, Zeenat!!!! Plath is so amazing. There really isn’t anybody else quite like her.
Congratulations, Luanne
Thank you, Derrick.
Wonderful, Luanne! Your voice clearly has spoken in this collection – loud and clear. Bravo!
I love the way you put that!!!!!!!!!
