Flash Fiction and a “Life History”

Sharon Knutson, the editor of Storyteller Poetry Review has generously re-published (most were published by other lit mags, although there might be one that is previously unpublished) some of my flash fiction stories. It’s quite a varied collection. Also, I wrote a “life history” (haha) as an introduction, and she included a photo I had forgotten I had of me getting my high school graduation gift. That hair!!!!

  7. Fantastic collection, Luanne!

  8. Congratulations, Luanne! Do you still have the typewriter? (I asked for cash for HS graduation so I could buy one. Yes, I still have it.)

Congratulations! I left a comment there but I have “issues” with Blogger (meaning if you respond to my comment, I might not see it) so I’m leaving a comment here as well. Whew! Anyway, I’m so happy to see so much of your wonderful writing in one place. I love the photo of you xo. I asked for and got an electric Smith Corona for my birthday just before my senior HS year. It was loud! I no longer have it, but I did hang on to it for at least 10 years before I traded it in for a different electric typewriter 🙂

  10. Good to read of your early life and the examples of your writing, Luanne

  11. Impressive life story. I envy you and your success! Love the work as well.

  12. Loved the collection, Luanne! Great variety in topics – same depth in each one. Congratulations on your 2024 accomplishments!
But Lawdy, Lawdy I have to say that the hair, the typewriter and the young woman who bravely opens the gift at graduation should tell anyone you are a force to be reckoned with.
You always have been – still are. I am a groupie for your writing.
