Almost the End of July and Gonna Need to Take a Breath!

So much has happened lately. I went to the Wisconsin Dells with my family for a week and just got back. I took a tumble while I was there. My third one, hitting my head as usual. I’m ok. Hudson had his best life (for now) there.

On his first plane ride

At the lakeshore, on boats, at deer park, and especially the WAWEE PARK!

We had a baby mourning dove (so cute) rescue at the house before we left for Wisconsin. I hope he’s doing well at Liberty Wildlife!

Kathryn Kulpa of Cleaver Magazine interviewed me about Scrap.

I still have lots of unpacking and email catching up and I am SO TIRED. Living with a 2-year-old for a week hahahahahaha.

  1. Two-year-olds can do that to you. But you’ll recover in a little while.

  2. Two weeks with a 2-year-old! I sure appreciate Kathryn’s questions and your backstory answers.

  3. A week with a toddler? You have more energy than I do. I bet it was fun though.

  4. Always nice to get a new location for a while.

  5. Sounds like a wonderful–if busy–time!

  6. I’m sure the respite was nice despite the fall and the energetic 2-year-old. Enjoyed your tankas!

  7. I’m pleased you are OK

    • I actually wondered last night if I ought to go get checked out because a couple little issues stemming from the fall. But I made it through another night!

  8. Thank you for the update, Luanne—and congratulations on your latest acceptances!! (I’m very sorry that you’ve had another fall! 🥰🥰🥰)

OK, here’s what is likely silly question: What are the Wisconsin Dells? What is a dell? I should know from that old kids’ song The Farmer in the Dell, but all it meant in the song was that you stood in the middle of a circle.

Sounds like a fun time—but caring for a two year old is a lot!

  10. Congrats on all the publications! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  11. So many congratulations, Luanne! I know what living with those toddlers is like. Whew!

  12. I am sorry that you hit your head! It is so easy to take a tumble. So wonderful that you got away and had time with your grandson!
